Armed robbery of a bank in
Marseille in 1987 (+23
hostages). Following the attack,
the highly effective local SWAT
team was replaced by a squad
from Paris headed by their
Prefect of Police. While the
Parisians, aided by 500
Marseille police, waited outside
the bank, the robbers got away
with the loot through a specially
built tunnel and the sewers.
